Katzinger’s has been feeding the German Village neighbourhood since 1984 and shows no signs of changing what it does. It’s a proper New York-style delicatessen — the sandwiches are built tall, the portions are honest, and the menu doesn’t overcomplicate things. The Reuben is the thing most people order first, and most people order it again. The pastrami and the corned beef are both worth serious consideration.
